About Clucas

Founded in 1970, Clucas MoE has acquired a worldwide reputation as specialists in rapid method of entry intervention. It has developed a unique range of products that are used by Special Forces, counter-terrorist teams, police forces and end users all over the world in situations where they need to gain swift entry - from close-quarter battle and covert situations to fire rescue.

Reg Clucas MBE was the founder of Clucas and the inventor of the 'Kerie Cable', the first Clucas product to receive international acclaim. This flexible thermic lance was - and still is - capable of cutting through steel at speeds faster than any other product available on the market. Originally used in the diving industry, Reg Clucas MBE, realised its capabilities beyond the field of diving and approached UK Special Forces. The 'Kerie cable' was quickly adopted for use in the military field, and as a result Clucas developed the now famous Back Pack and slim pack, portable lightweight systems, that allow the user to operate in covert, counter-terrorist situations. It has been adopted by law enforcement agencies and has a diverse range of applicants, from being used with fire rescue prison service to police gaining forced entry in criminal activities. It continues to hold its world-class reputation as the fastest and most effective piece of equipment of its kind.

Clucas has continued to develop its product range, moving from one innovative success to another - the world-famous Hatton Rounds, the RIP rounds, Harvey Wall banger and Mowbray Door Down, for instance, are all designed and manufactured by Clucas.

Most recently, Clucas has branched out into designing training rigs for use in advanced method of entry, They are built on a modular design to produce a variety of scenarios that can be set up by teams to practice different entrance situations, from inward to outward opening doors, with use of manual to hydraulic tools, to shotgun breeching tactics and explosive entry. Onsite training can be provided through the sister company Clucas Training Wing Ltd.
