THE
THERMALARC
FIREBOX

The stainless steel box housing measures approximately 10"long x 6"wide x 6"deep,
a very simple design giving ease of access should maintenance be required. The
box is situated centrally between a high pressure oxygen cylinder and the cutting cable.
From the oxygen cylinder oxygen is fed to the box by means of a 10ft long H.P. (high pressure)
whip directly to the oxygen regulator in the centre of the control panel. By screwing
down in a clockwise direction, as indicated on the handle, the desired oxygen pressure is
passed onto the on/off valve, and thus onto the 'Kerie' Cable. Two gauges indicate
both cylinder and working pressure. There is another 10ft whip, L.P. (low pressure)
between the 'Kerie' Cable and the box complete with quick-snap connectors which completes
the make-up of the unit.
If required by the operator another whip can be used to either side of the control box,
this is 30ft long. This gives the option of moving or situating the controls further
away from the oxygen cylinder, or the cutting cable from the box. Longer extensions can be
supplied, and the H.P. hose being extremely light and durable could easily be connected
to the system to take the 'Kerie' Cable a few hundred feet further if necessary.
The 'Fire Box" was initially design for use by the Fire Service, but is now widely used
by government organisations nationally and internationally, for training large groups of personnel.
